Discussion includes a 25 year career in the Medical Device Industry leading up to starting and owning my own medical device company. Discussion will include funding experience and the divestment of the company and subsequent activities as an angel investor in women owned medical device startups.

Graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Nursing and worked in ICU and Hematology/Oncology for 15 years. Then accepted a job for in medical device startup working on a novel implantable pump. Climbed up the ranks through clinical to product management to Director of Marketing, Senior VP and ultimately, CEO of my own medical device startup. Have also been active as an angel investor in women owned companies and now teach innovation and entrepreneurship to nursing students at my Alma Mater University of Connecticut.
